seriously BP, this is the f*cking plan? no.

I haven't heard anything about BP gas stations in the news or online (or maybe I'm just blocking it out since I hate them). They're losing a significant amount of business, right? I'm really hoping most people are going to other stations.

Also, f*ck BP!

Apparently they’re doing okay, which allows me to bring up this point: I don’t know that boycotting BP at the retail level will be as effective as what I’m proposing which is a revocation of their federal contracts.

BP is not in the retail gas business anymore, they sold them all off to franchisees. While I fault the franchisees for associating themselves with a company with a history of safety abuses, you’re not hurting BP as much as you think with a retail boycott. I’m not getting gas at any BPs, but I will still stop there for a candy bar. BP also sells gas to some Kangaroo and Racetrack stations. The main thing we as Americans can do is force our government to revoke our contracts with BP to buy gas for government and military use. This would put a hurt on BP and perhaps run them into major financial trouble.

We must remember they are a multi-national conglomerate. They could survive no matter what we do. The best thing we CAN do is get them out of our waters, out of our stations, and out of our government vehicles. Then if they survive, it’s without our help.

That, and criminally prosecuting and suing the company for all potential damages.
